小马宋：这几年，李笑来教会我的几个道理

再一次接触李笑来，就是去年他在得到开专栏，后来因为工作关系，跟他接触就多了起来。

Once again, he was in a column last year, and since then he's in contact with him because of his working relationship.

李笑来的脑回路是异于常人的，但这个评价是绝对正面的。有人觉得李笑来2010年买比特币纯粹是运气好，其实我认为，即使他赶不上比特币，他也很快会成为一个有钱人，因为他在如何赚钱和如何找到机会、如何积累和保持个人能力这方面实在是太厉害了。

Lee's laughter is unusual, but it's absolutely positive. Some people think it's pure luck to laugh and buy bitcoin in 2010, but I think that even if he doesn't catch up with bitcoin, he will soon become a rich man, because he's too good at making money and finding opportunities, building up and maintaining personal abilities.

我从李笑来那里学到很多道理，有些或许浅显到常人觉得可笑，有些则让常人觉得不可思议，但这些对我来说都特别有用。

I've learned a lot from Li's laughs, and some of them may seem ridiculous, some of them incredible, but they're particularly useful to me.

李笑来非常非常推崇查理芒格，他认为是查理芒格的《穷查理宝典》奠定了他未来人生走向的许多基础。

The laughter of Lee was very, very fond of Charlie Manger, who, in his view, was Charlie Manger's "The Poor Charlie Treasure" that laid out many of the foundations for his future life.

下面我讲几个从他那里学来的道理。

Here's a few things I learned from him.

1、“践行”比学习知识更重要

1, “exercise” is more important than learning.

李笑来有个观点：“知识本身”正在变得越来越不值钱。因为世界上几乎所有的知识，你都可以到图书馆和维基百科这样的地方找到，所以知识本身是不值钱的，也不能为你带来什么收益。但掌握知识然后去践行，才是最重要的。

One of Lee's laughter points: "Knowledge itself" is becoming increasingly worthless. Because almost all of the world's knowledge, you can find it in libraries and Wikipedia, it's neither worth nor can it bring you any benefit. But the most important thing is to master it and then practice it.

李笑来大学里学的是会计，所以他还算比较擅长统计，而他后来去了新东方当老师。后来他想明白一件事，如果个人作为一家公司的话，你这家公司的收入增长其实来自两种方式，第一种就是提高你个人出售时间的单价，这可能是一般人会想到的。

Lee came to college to learn accounting, so he was good at statistics, and then he went to New East to be a teacher. And then he realized that if an individual was a company, your income would actually increase in two ways, the first being to raise the unit price of your personal selling time, which might come to mind.

第二种呢，就是把你的时间能够复制出来然后卖出去。很多人可能觉得这不可思议。

The second is that you can copy your time and sell it. A lot of people may think it's amazing.

其实，倒是很简单，写书就是你花了实践，然后复制出售的一种方式。

In fact, it's easy to write a book as a way for you to practice and then copy it for sale.

李笑来不但想明白了这个道理，也开始这么做了，他决定写一本TOEFL词汇的书。而他认为，写书就要赚钱，而且要赚很多钱、长期赚钱才行。所以这本书就要是畅销书 和长销书，而托福词汇及比较符合长销书的特点。

Li laughed not only to understand it, but also to do it, and he decided to write a book of TOEFL terms. And he thought that writing a book would cost money, and that it would cost money, long-term money. So the book would be best-selling and long-sale books, and the Tofu vocabulary would be more consistent with long-sales.

他用自己的编程能力写了个程序，把历年来的托福试卷核心词汇用统计方法统计了出来，然后才去写书。所以李笑来的书就是比别的老师写的书有效。

He uses his programming skills to write a program that uses statistics on the Tofford core vocabulary of the years before he writes books. So Li laughs at books that are more effective than those written by other teachers.

在这里，你看到了“践行”这个词的真正涵义。

Here, you see what the word "do" really means.

这个世界上懂统计的人不少，会编程的人也很多，英语好的人也不少，但真正在工作上用这些知识赚钱的人却不多。

There are a lot of people in the world who know statistics, a lot of people who can programme, and a lot of people who are good in English, but not many who actually use that knowledge to make money at work.

李笑来说他后来每年的书的版税就有100多万，而他也从来没花过这些钱，有些版税他捐出去了。后来在罗辑思维卖《和时间做朋友》，版税收入也不错，然后他说我要把这些版税都花掉，于是他就经常请罗辑思维全公司吃饭。

Li laughed to say that he spent more than a million royalties each year on his books, and that he never spent that money, and that some of the royalties he donated. Then he was thinking about selling "Friends with Time," and he said I'd spend all those royalties, so he used to ask the whole company to eat.

2、看清现象背后的道理

2, see what's behind it

李笑来还有个能力，就是能用自己学过的知识，分析出现象背后的道理，有些事情你根本就不会这么想，但他就是能想到。

There's also the ability of Li to use the knowledge he has learned to analyze what's behind the phenomenon. There's something you don't even think about, but he does.

有一次他在他的专栏里讲，任何现象背后必有道理，哪怕是杜撰出来的东西。比如说中国古代文学作品里的神仙都是竖着飞的，而西方的超人却是趴着飞的。

One time he said in his column that there was a point behind any phenomenon, even what was invented. For example, the wonders of ancient Chinese literature were flying, while the supermen of the West were flying on their feet.

这背后的原因是啥呢？

What's behind this?

因为中国古代还没有空气阻力这种认知，超人出现的时候，西方人已经知道空气阻力了。

Because Chinese ancient times do not recognize air resistance, when Superman appeared, Westerners knew about air resistance.

有一次他还用他的知识解释了“剩男剩女”的现象：

On one occasion, he used his knowledge to explain the phenomenon of leftover males and females:

你知道剩男剩女是如何剩下的吗？
许多年后，他们都一样，都会发现自己其实可能有过一次以上的机会（虽然不一定吧）。可当初他们为什么没有出手选择呢？你再跟他们聊聊，他们都一样的，都认为自己的要求并不高，不求最有钱最好看…… 他们是这样想的：
长相不能太丑吧？
个子不能太矮吧？
人不能太无趣吧？
收入不能太低吧？
学历不能太差吧？
……
看起来，确实各个都是很一般般的要求，都没要求最好，只要求 1/3 以上，咋就找不着呢？这是个简单的数学应用题，每个要求都只剩下 1/3 的选择，最终，只剩下差不多 4‰ 的选择 —— 而事实上，每个人在适龄期间，能够足够深入了解的人数不超过 150 人（包括同性），于是，得活上三辈子才有可能真的碰到。这还没有算上另外一个因素：对方也在挑！

你看，这就是李笑来的能力，他用一个简单的算术，就解释了剩男剩女的问题，这其实也是另一种“学以致用”。

You see, this is Lee's ability to laugh, and he explains with a simple arithmetic what's left of a man and a woman, and it's actually another kind of learning to use.

3、一字不落地阅读

3, read without a word

李笑来在开专栏的时候，就没有打算录音频，因为他认为一字不落的阅读，本身就是提升个人能力的一种途径。

When Li laughter came in the column, he had no intention of recording the frequency, because he believed that a literal reading was in itself a way of enhancing personal abilities.

后来有人问为什么不出音频版，他的回答很有意思，他说我已经说过希望你一字不落地阅读，如果你真的那么喜欢音频版，那你可以自己读一遍然后录下来自己听啊。

Then someone asked why the audio version was not available, and his answer was very interesting, and he said that I had said that I wanted you to read everything, and if you really liked the audio version so much, you could read it yourself and record it for yourself.

后来他在知乎的分享中讲到了认真阅读的问题，他说大部分人是没有仔细阅读的能力和习惯的。

Later, in his knowledge-sharing, he spoke about reading carefully, saying that most people lacked the ability and habits to read carefully.

他分享中这么说：

我鄙视一切的快速阅读其实是有深刻道理支撑的。 我知道你脑子里在想什么。你很可能在想，现在是一个信息爆炸的时代，要读的东西太多了，都像你说的那样“只字不差地阅读”，岂不是读不过来，岂不是注定要落后？

I despise the quick reading of everything that is deeply supported. I know what's in your head. You're probably thinking, in an era of information explosion, that there's too many things to read, as you say, "read wordlessly," if you can't read it, if you're not destined to lag behind.

我直接告诉你答案吧，信息爆炸是没错，知识并没有爆炸，爆炸的是垃圾。真正的知识，生成成本是很高的，真的不是那么容易被生产出来的。等你一路认真阅读到三十五岁，你就会发现，这世界上真正有用的，且你自己用得上的知识，少得可怜，少到你根本不可能错过的地步。 相信我，认真的人和不认真的人生活在不同的世界之中，前者可以看到后者的世界，后者不仅看不到，也想象不出前者的世界究竟是什么样子，甚至，根本就不知道还有另外一个世界的存在 —— 可怜着呢。

Let me just tell you the answer: the information explosion is right, knowledge does not explode, and it's garbage. Real knowledge is expensive to generate, and it's not so easy to be produced. When you read it all the way up to the age of 35, you'll find that the world is really useful, and you're using it for yourself, and it's so little that you can't miss it.

受他的影响，我今年一字不差地重新阅读了营销的经典书籍《营销管理》，大概以每小时5-10页的速度在读，那可是一本大概500页的书。

As a result of his influence, I re-read the classic marketing book Marketing Management, read at about 5-10 pages per hour, about 500 pages this year.

他又举例说，读《金瓶梅》，其实也没人好好读。

He added, for example, that there was no one to read the Golden Bottle.

第二回： 王婆笑道：“老身自从三十六岁没了老公，丢下这个小厮，没得过日子。”

And the third time, the woman: "How old is the big brother this year?" The lady said: "It's 17 years old."...The next morning, she cleans up the room, prepares the needle line, arranges the tea and waits at home. She said Wu Da ate breakfast and took the burden off herself. The woman hung up the curtains, asked her to look at the house, walked through the back door. "The woman was happy, took a seat in the room, and took a cup of walnut pine tea with the woman."

大概很少有人像李笑来 一样，看《金瓶梅》能看出来王婆是没好好守寡的。

It's probably as rare as Lee's smile to see the Golden Bottle of Mae as she's not a good widow.

4、花出去的钱才是你的钱

4. The money spent is your money.

李笑来特别喜欢请人吃饭，他对钱的态度非常有趣。

Li especially likes to buy dinner, and his attitude to money is very interesting.

他认为人要首先实现财富自由，所谓的财富自由，他有自己的解释：就是你再也不需要为了生活被迫去出卖自己的时间。

He believes that if a man is to be the first to realize the freedom of wealth, so-called the freedom of wealth, he has his own explanation: you no longer need to be forced to sell your time for life.
