The Beijing City Council for Science and Technology, the Governing Board of Science and Technology Parks of China and the People's Government of the Yangtze District recently co-hosted the Beijing City Internet 3.0 Innovation and Eco-Development Conference, at which the "China Village Internet 3.0 Industry Park" was officially inaugurated as the country's first Internet 3.0 industrial base.

Hong Kong, as an international financial centre, has a unique advantage. The Policy Declaration on Virtual Assets Development in Hong Kong, published last year, emphasizes the support and protection of virtual assets and related industries by the HKSAR government.
全国政协委员、香港特区立法会议员吴杰庄参加北京互联网3.0创新生态发展大会时透露，今年3月香港创办了Web3Hub，作为一个专注于Web3.0技术的加速器，其目标是为香港孵化超过1000个高质量的Web3.0项目。
On the occasion of the Beijing Internet 3.0 Innovative Eco-Development Conference, which was attended by the National Council of Political Ministers and the Legislative Councillor of the Hong Kong SAR, it was revealed that in March this year Hong Kong launched Web3Hub as an accelerator focused on Web3.0 technology with the aim of incubating over 1,000 high-quality Web3.0 projects in Hong Kong.
“Web3.0代表了下一代互联网与金融科技的技术，它将为传统产业带来巨大的创新机会，并且是未来数字港币实现全球化的关键。”吴杰庄表示，香港官方Web3Hub已与Web3.0技术基础设施服务商Cypherium达成战略合作。通过与Cypherium的未来合作，为香港的技术创新者提供平台和资源，促进Web3.0在香港安全有效发展。
“Web3.0 represents the next generation of Internet and financial technology technologies, which will provide enormous innovation opportunities for traditional industries and will be key to the future globalization of digital Hong Kong currency.” According to Kitchen Wu, Hong Kong’s official Web3Hub has entered into a strategic partnership with the Web3.0 technology infrastructure service provider, Cypherium. Through future cooperation with Cypherium, Hong Kong’s technology innovators will be provided with platforms and resources to promote the safe and effective development of Web3.0 in Hong Kong.

At present, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority has launched a digital Hong Kong dollar pilot scheme, which will test the Web3 application scene to promote digital Hong Kong dollar internationalization. 北京的Web3.0创新主要围绕创业生态和科研力量。众多的创业公司和孵化器为Web3.0技术的创新提供了丰厚的土壤。针对北京互联网3.0发展现状，《白皮书》提到，北京的人工智能、区块链、通信网络等互联网3.0关键细分领域在全国优势明显。截至2022年底，北京拥有人工智能企业共有3467家，核心企业1048家，占全国人工智能核心企业总量的29%，位列全国第一；截至2023年2月，北京拥有区块链企业606家，备案项目782个，截至2023年3月，北京建设5G基站累计达8.7万个，每万人拥有5G基站数39.9个，全国排名第一。
By the end of 2022, there were 3,467 artificial intelligence enterprises in Beijing, with 1,048 core enterprises, accounting for 29 per cent of the total number of artificial intelligence core enterprises in the country and ranked first in the country; as of February 2023, there were 606 sector-based enterprises in Beijing, with 782 projects ready, and as of March 2023, there were a cumulative total of 87,000 Beijing 5G-based stations, with 39.9 G-based stations per 10,000 inhabitants.
