Forbes reported that the United States Government had sold 9,861 bitcoins on 14 March at a price of US$ 21,877 below the market price of US$ 2,000, net of fees of US$ 215.5 million.
而执法机关为此付出的215,000美元交易费用令人津津乐道，该数额已占总交易金额的约0.1%，社群指出，即使直接使用加密货币交易所Gemini卖出，支付的手续费也才0.04%。
The transaction costs of US$ 215,000 paid by law enforcement agencies for this purpose, which already account for about 0.1 per cent of the total transaction amount, are welcome, and the community notes that even if Gemini was sold directly using an encrypted currency exchange, the fees paid were only 0.04 per cent.

Last year, it was reported that, according to court documents submitted in February 2021, Ross Ulbricht had agreed to pay $183 million in damages owed to the United States Government by 69,370 bitcoins stolen in 2013 by the authorities from the Individual X anonymous hackers caught in 2020.
