According to PANews, on 19 June, according to Cryptoslate, Polkadot’s co-founder, Rob Habermeier, proposed a new system chain concept called Plaza, which aims to integrate existing parallel chain functions and enhance the expansionability of the entire network. According to Habermeier, the current fragmentation of functions on multiple chains poses challenges not only for users and developers, but also for Internet fragmentation and extenuability limitations.
Plaza系統將各種平行鏈功能整合至單一鏈中，旨在為使用者、開發者、流動性提供者和去中心化應用程式（dApps）帶來便利。其解決方案將涵蓋資產發行、智能合約、質押、橋接模組和近乎零費用的交易等多元化功能。該鏈計劃從現有的AssetHub發展而來，已支援資產錢包、橋接和工具整合。
The Plaza system integrates parallel chain functions into a single chain designed to facilitate users, developers, mobile providers and decentralised applications (dApps). The solution will encompass a variety of functions, such as asset issuance, smart contracts, pledge, bridge-linking modules and near-zero-cost transactions. The chain has been developed from the existing AssetHub to support the consolidation of asset packages, bridges and tools.
隨著Polkadot即將推出的彈性擴展功能，Habermeier認為將功能整合至單一鏈中將有助於提升網路效率。他預計，如果Plaza獲得批准，將大大簡化Polkadot網路中的互動過程，使開發者能夠更專注於提升網路的可擴展性。
With Polkadot’s roll-out, Habermeier believes that integrating the functionality into a single chain will help to improve the efficiency of the network. He predicts that if Plaza is approved, the interactive process in the Polkadot network will be considerably simplified, allowing developers to focus more on increasing the expansion of the network.
