In the early morning hours of 14 April, local time, when Iran launched a large-scale attack on Israel itself, the situation in the Middle East escalated dramatically, with encrypted currency jumping, Bitcoin refrigerated by over $6,000, falling sharply by 8 per cent in the day, and then regressed slightly.

The market had described Bitcoin as “digital gold”, but in the light of recent trends it seemed that the security attributes of the asset no longer existed.

At present, Bitcoin has recovered more than $10,000 from the above-mentioned historical heights.
